Usually a Shabu-Shabu is a slice of beef, boiled just few seconds in the boiling water. The word "shabu shabu" refers to the sound made by whisking the sliced beef in hot water. Instead of beef, however, this particular restaurant we recommend you today serves us pork. As the restaurant focuses on the quality and the origin of the pork they serve, they designate black pigs from Kagoshima prefecture as their exclusive source to accompany a light, flavorful dipping sauce that shares it's origin with the sauce for Soba (buckwheat noodle). Pork with Soba sauce..., the light taste of Soba sauce is a perfect match to the pork, and it's not surprising that this combination allows you to devour volumes before you notice it. Since the pork is boiled, extra fat is omitted, so Shabu-Shabu is a health-conscious way to eat meat. Abundant vegetables are served with the pork, which is also good balance of nourishment. The restaurant also serves delectable dishes from Kagoshima prefecture, Satsuma-Age (fried minced fish meat) being the widely popular and very recommendable. Because Kagoshima is the cradle of Satsuma-Age, there are several kinds of Satsuma-Age with various fillings. Pork is healthy because it's abundant in Vitamin B. Pork Shabu-shabu and delicious Sho-chu¡Ä "Ichi-ni-san" would be a nice place to experience the taste and culture of Kagoshima in the heart of Tokyo.
