Editor: Mariko |
Japanese traditional recipe called "Goma-ae" is one of the typical
side dish. The sesame's flavor matches with fresh vegetables.
There are black and white sesame.
White sesame have more oily and deeper taste than black one.
In Kansai area (West of Japan), one tend to be fond of white sesame but
one prefer black one in Kanto and Tohoku area (East and North of Japan).

Sesame
This time I selected useful "ground sesame" (suri-goma in Japanese)
that is sold at grocery store. But you can enjoy sesame's original natural
flavor by using fresh sesame itself.
If you use the fresh sesame, please roast carefully in a skillet not to
burn, make powdery by using food processor or mortar, and mix with seasoning. |
