Roppongi is a cosmopolitan and an international city. There are a lot of
shops and restaurant of many kinds, and people from all over the world
pass and go through the crowded Roppongi clamor. Even in such hectic environment,
one can find a Chinese restaurant nestled in a tranquil, and calm atmosphere.
This is the place that we would like to introduce to you today, "Gozen-bo".
You'll find "Gozen-bo" when you walk down from the Roppongi intersection
on the Imoarai slope. When you open the big door of "Gozen-bo",
you'll feel the calm and cozy atmosphere inside this restaurant. This restaurant
specializes in Yunnan food, which is rather rare in Japan, but one may
also find variety of typical Chinese fare. The dishes of this restaurant
seem to cater nicely to the milder palate, and their signature dish "Ma-Poh's
Tofu", a highly recommended dish, is a good example. The restaurant's
"Ma- Poh's Tofu" is not too hot, rather mild in taste but just
enough spices to make it lively, with exquisite balance of mildness and
spiciness. Altogether it is a dish that leaves you with lasting impression.
Likewise, the seasonal stir-fried vegetables are equally delicious, with
a delicate seasoning of salt and garlic. Almost all dishes can be offered
in two different sizes, a serving for one or two people and that for three
or four people. You may choose a preferable size in accordance with the
number of the company or depending on your appetite.
We tempt you to satisfy your stomach and soul at "Gozen-bo, in calm and comfort before you head forth in to the Roppongi crowd for the rest of the night.
