RESTAURANT "Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant" <033>
It's getting colder day by day, but the best season has come for the oyster eaters. Today we introduce to you "Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant" where you can eat the oysters from all over the world while enjoying American atmosphere. The restaurant is the second branch of the world famous oyster bar that has established ninety years ago underneath the Grand Central Station in New York. The oysters this restaurant offers us are neither refrigerant nor frozen ones, but "live oysters". Therefore, they are worth eating.

As this restaurant is the second branch of the famous oyster restaurant, it was very difficult to reserve seats for a while after the opening. However, even after one and a half year since then, the popularity has not been diminished, and it is still difficult as of today. You'll have to make a booking more than one month in advance to get seats on a weekday evening. However, you may rest assured that nearly half of the seats are kept for the customers of the day. Another special feature of this restaurant is that they have a cozy waiting bar. Therefore, you won't have a dull moment while waiting for next available seats.

After you're led to the table, you're handed the menu with a lot of dishes written in the tiny letters. It shows you various kinds of appetizers, raw oysters, cooked oysters and seafood of shrimps, crabs and lobsters.
If you won't be able to make a decision which dish to order, please feel free to ask staffs for their advice. They are well acquainted with the dishes and tell you kindly the recommendable dishes. It might be a good idea to start with raw oysters. They have raw oysters from U.S.A., Japan and all over the world, so it may be interesting to compare tastes based on each home place. The size and the taste vary from home region to region. Some oysters are small but dense taste, and others are big and plain but very creamy...etc. Try fresh raw oysters as many as you like.

After you start the dinner with the fresh raw oysters,
try the various kinds of the cooked oysters.
"Oysters Rockefeller" is the New Orleans style
grilled oyster with the white sauce and spinach born, which is the restaurant's recommendable popular dish.
"Broiled Oysters Anchovy Butter" is seasoned moderately with the salty anchovy.

They prepare more than one hundred kinds of wine, which are suitable flavor for oysters and seafood. It's also interesting to select wine considering the congeniality with the dish.
Additionally, the sweets, the finishing of the dinner, are voluminous as the American-style. Therefore, if you love to eat sweets, you may save the space in your stomach for the sweets.

The staffs are so careful that they serve foods on the proper timing. I bet you'd like it! Please enjoy your dinner at "Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant" where you may feel the atmosphere of New York.
