RESTAURANT "Teki" <035>
We introduced to you the restaurant that offers us the Japanese popular food Yakitori in a chic atmosphere previously, but we have found another sophisticated Kushi-yaki restaurant in Ginza.
That is a roasted spitted food (Kushi-yaki) restaurant "Teki" Ginza branch.
I'm sure that it overturns your fixed image of Kushi-yaki if you go there.

This restaurant is located in the 4th floor of the building along a narrow path near the Ginza 4-chome crossing. It's rather cubby restaurant, but indirect lighting of the room creates a relaxed and decent atmosphere.
Food menu is very simple. It is consist of just three complete sets of dishes distinguished by the number of spits, 5, 8 and 10, and several side dishes of salad.
You wonder if such a simple menu won't satisfy your appetite. No worries! I bet you'd like it. For some ladies, 5 spits course would be enough. If not, of course you can order additional Kushi-yaki one by one after finishing the course meal.

Whichever course you choose, it always starts with "Tsukune." Tsukune is made of minced chicken. The surface of it is roasted to crispy, but the inside is meltingly tender. Although the taste seasoned with the salt is plain, it is exquisite. The second spit of 5 spits course is a chicken breast. As it is big and tender, it reminds me of a roasted chicken steak rather than a Yakitori.
The third one is a lamb with blue cheese sauce. The distinctive smell of lamb has been taken off and the richness and the flavor of the blue cheese sauce bring out the softness and the juiciness of the lamb.
The next one is a duck. It retains special taste and the flavor of duck and assorted well with the moderate salty taste.
The last one is a beef. The hearty beef is just like a spitted steak cut into dice. While it is tender, it also maintains the firmness as well.

At the intervals of each 5 spits, the liver paste on the crackers and the chicken soup are served. Therefore, I think even 5 spits course dinner can bring you satisfy. However, the optional line-ups of spits, such as the spitted vegetables of a tomato and a avocado, and the spitted meat of chicken wings or special Iberico pork are also attractive. However, the most unique item is a truffle. As it is wrapped with bacon, you cannot imagine what is hiding behind it. Once you bite it, you will be surprised with the distinctive flavor and crunchy texture of numerous truffles. It is an amazing item. As every item is so high-quality that the course menu of this restaurant reminds me of a French dinner course rather than common Kushi-yaki. Furthermore, what you should never forget is the wide selection of wine. It must be fun to select a bottle of wine that makes a perfect marriage with these unique Kushi-yakis.
Also I recommend you to try a unique dessert, "Baked ice cream." It is ice cream wrapped in a roasted marshmallow!
You will find a lot of surprises and amazing things at "Teki."
