"Sardine Appetizer - Geneva style"


Such as sardine, mackerel, silver-skinned fish have much EPA ( Eicosapentaenoic acid)
and DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid), which are good for our health.
Today I'd like to introduce an appetizer using sardine. If you'd like, please try sandwiches version.

Ingredients for 4 servings
12 sardine fillets
Salt and pepper as needed
Sliced garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp white wine
2 tbsp basil paste

[Soup with sardine fillets]
2 Naganegi (leek)
1 consomme cube
1 tbsp white wine
Salt and pepper as needed


RECIPE

Appetizer

1. Sprinkle salt and pepper on sardine fillets.

2. Heat olive oil on a pan and saute sliced garlic.

3. Put the sardine in the pan and brown both side until golden.
Please put the skin side down first.

4. Add white wine and spread basil paste on the skin side.


Soup with sardine fillets

1. Please use the white part of Naganegi and cut it into 7cm length.

2. Place them on a heat-resistant container.

3. Dissolve consomme cube in a cup of water and blend it with white wine, salt and pepper.

4. Wrap (A) in cellophane and heat it for 5 minutes in a microwave.

5. Serve Naganegi pieces with soup on a dish and put the above sardine fillets on it.
