Recently, the numbers of restaurants with distinctive interior that put emphasis on their unique concept or theme clearly have been increased. The restaurant we are going to introduce to you today is one of those restaurants. Once you go there, you can't forget it. The name of the restaurant is "Christon Cafe." As the name indicated, it seems to be a recreated European church in the middle Ages. It's located along the Dogen-zaka, Shibuya. But when you enter the entrance door, you are in a quiet staircase landing which leads to the awesome downstairs to the basement. The big chandelier is hanged from the ceiling, and its glittering light will draw you into the solemn European atmosphere. As the staircase to the basement is dark, you will feel as if you are dragged into the gloom below. However, at the end of the stairs, you will be welcomed by the kind staffs of the restaurant. There are numerous statues of Christ, Maria and crucifix here and there in the restaurant, and the genuine altar which was brought directly from Europe will make you feel as if you are in a European church. As for the seats, there are many kinds of seats such as a comfortable sofa or banquette and also there are private rooms. Therefore, you can use the restaurant for various purposes such as a date or meeting with your close friends and so on. You will be more than satisfied with its unique and distinctive atmosphere, but furthermore, the dishes are also unique and delicious. Among them, the most impressive dish is "Beef Carpaccio of Manhattan style with vegetable." In the middle of the dish, a yellow cylindrical object is towering up. It's a rolled cheese. It's to be crushed and mixed with vegetables before eating. This crisply baked Parmesan cheese goes well with the sliced medium-rare beef. Another unique dish is "Fideua", Paella of pasta. As it is lighter taste compared with the usual rice Paella, it's good nibbles for alcoholic beverage. "Hamburg that kneaded by God's hand in Doria" which has tasty sound words in itself, is kneaded nicely and matches up well with smooth and creamy white sauce. It's very good and delicious as expected. As for the sweets, you can see the unique title of them such as "Angel Crown" or "Head of Maria" and so on. Please relish them. Although the dishes and the atmosphere and the interior are so unique and novel, you'll be satisfied the reasonable prices.
