Different from ordinary footbath, laid a bed of bath with various kinds and forms small stones so that they can press acupressure points of the bottoms of feet. The bath is separated into nine sections in accordance with the efficacy and each footbath is designed to have beneficial effects on particular disease, such as liver trouble, heart disease, recomposing yourself, etc. respectively. Of course I tried all the baths. After taking one hour of footbath, thanks to the efficacy of the hot springs and massages, my foot became warm despite of poor circulation nature and I could walk lightly after that. There is another spring called "Yorokobi-no-izumi". Just like the efficacy on the board "This spring is to make one laugh and laughing heal your body", I enjoyed the spring laughingly. The stones must stimulate and tickle my sole softly. People from overseas may hesitate to take Japanese hot spring because you need to take a bath with stranger without wearing a bathing suit. But in case of a footbath called "Ashi-yu" you don't have to worry about that. Yugawara is located within one hour by a train from Tokyo.
